Pedal Madness 2019

Pedal Madness® is a 64-pedal bracket competition that allows you to create a bracket and vote in each round as your favorite pedals go head-to-head – ultimately resulting in a “Final Four” pedal board that will be given away to one lucky participant (and some additional prizes!)

This is our third consecutive year (each year getting bigger and bigger!) launching this competition in alignment with the NCAA March Madness basketball bracket.

So, how does it work?

“Selection Sunday” is on Sunday, March 17th – which is when we will announce the top 64 pedals. The top 64 pedals will be broken down into four categories: Gain, Modulation, Reverb, and Delay. There are a variety of ways to nominate your favorite pedals, including commenting on this post! The nomination period ends on Saturday, March 16th at 11:59pm CST (the night before Selection Sunday.)

On Selection Sunday, once we announce the 64 pedals that will be competing, the “bracket challenge” will begin. This is when you will be able fill out your bracket and submit it online. The bracket challenge is the most fun part, because it’s when you get to make your predictions for the entire competition! Bracket submissions will be accepted from March 17th-March 20th at 11:59pm CST.

From March 21st through April 8th, there will be six head-to-head voting rounds. The following prizes will be awarded:

  • The ‘Final Four’ Pedal Board to the person with the most points in the bracket challenge (the person who most accurately guesses the winning pedals in each round.)
  • Four $50 Riff City gift cards (randomly selected from all entries in the bracket challenge and voting rounds.)

You get an additional entry for each round you vote in, so…the more you participate, the better your chances are to win!

A special thanks to Pedaltrain for co-sponsoring this event!
