Ibanez is taking the multi-hued gradation finish from electrics like the AZ242F and applying it to two of its Artwood series acoustic guitars.
Who says gradation has to be a traditional burst?
The brown ale gradation on the AW80CE cutaway finishes the Sitka spruce top with a dark to light from the bottom up. It’s a stunning finish that gives the guitar a dipped look.
The AW84CE takes a different approach with a vertical natural brown burst gradation that fades from the center out on a Okoume top.
Both guitars also feature Okoume back and sides, Nyatoh neck an Ovangkol fretboard and bridge and are priced at $399. Find more specs and info at ibanez.com.
