Gibson’s new, limited-edition Chris Cornell ES-335 Tribute guitar is officially available worldwide.
The Chris Cornell ES-335 Tribute honors the rock legend who fronted Seattle grunge icons Soundgarden, and has left a modern legacy and contribution to music history that transcends genres.
Gibson first partnered with Cornell on his ES-335 Artist Model, and the Tribute carries forward his innovative eye for guitar design. The Tribute features aged Lollartron humbucking pickups, clear no-number top hat knobs, and Olive Drab satin finish on a semi-hollow maple body with a mahogany neck.
The guitar was officially unveiled in January at the “I Am The Highway: A Tribute To Chris Cornell” concert. The concert honored Cornell’s legacy and supported the Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation and The Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation.
As a limited-edition model, there are only 250 of these Chris Cornell ES-335 Tribute’s available. It rings up at $3,999. Pre-sale officially began on August 27th, 2019, and on September 3rd, all Gibson Chris Cornell ES-335 guitars will be sold worldwide through participating Gibson dealers.
