A long-awaited Chase Bliss Audio / Benson Amps collaboration – the Preamp MkII – is finally open for pre-order!
Chase Bliss Audio’s Preamp MKII combines the heart of Benson Amps’ Chimera with a dash of fuzz, a pinch of Condor’s resonant parametric mids, and CBA’s full-blown, well-adored preset control. It was built in collaboration with Chris Benson from Benson Amps, and now known as ‘the first Automatone.’ What’s an Automatone, exactly? Joel Korte of Chase Bliss Audio explains that it’s “a pedal built with motorized faders that adjust automatically – and a little magically – as you cycle through presets.”
The Preamp MKII features variable diode clipping control (transistor only, silicon, and asymmetrical germanium), fuzz you can switch from open to gated, three mids resonance settings with variable routing you can place before or after the preamp, and three banks with ten presets each for thirty total presets to set to your liking.
The Preamp MKII is now available for pre-order through participating Chase Bliss Audio dealers.*
